Compassion towards Animals
Earth was created for all lives, not just for human life, but we human here are living like God has created this World only for us, ALLAH pak made us “Asharaf ul Makhlookat” but it does not mean that this place is only for us and other creations does not belong here. It is our duty to think about other living beings as well.
“Each and every animal on earth has as much right to be here as you and me”
The superiority indeed sets us apart from the rest of the creations which inhabits the planet. However, it does not give us a right in any circumstances to be cruel and abuse our position of power.
Last Sunday I went out with my cousins for a walk in a park, I saw that there were some dogs running and sniffing here and there like they were looking for something to eat, but some kids threw stones on them and they ran towards another corner.
we human don’t teach our children that we have to show kindness on animals as well, in front of children we deal animals as if they are our enemies.
“Sojao doggi ajaye ga”, “agar ye kro ge, doggi kha jaye ga”, “dogi aagye” children get scared of animals due to these things and if they start crying on it we are like “main maron gi doggi ko”. These things remain in children minds and they think of animals as their enemies.
Similarly, I see donkeys on the roads on donkey cart being beaten up by the sticks, this is the regular abuse that we see, this shows how uncivilized we are despite all the education, influence, intelligence and morality we claim to posses.
We humans are just like parasites, using animals for our good but in return we are providing harm to them. Few days ago I saw a post regarding a Bear and a lion in zoo of a well reputed area, who were suffering from zoochosis which is a psychological breakdown that usually occurs in animals held as captives at zoos in complete isolation. They start showing signs because condition around become unbearable. They got no food no water, according to visitors, lion was licking the cage iron to quench his thirst.
There are countless examples, birds around especially in summer dies from heat and thirst but we human don’t bother them because they are not human.
Stories related to Animal abuse are increasing day by day.
whenever i see animals been treated like this around, I think of starting a program in which in every society, in every park, in every street a shaded place is arranged for animals where water and food is placed for animals, we should also teach our children from the very start to love animals, show kindness towards all creatures on Earth and they have the equal rights to live on Earth as we do.
Animal cant speak for themselves but they also have feelings they also get hurt when beaten by stick or rocks, they also get stressed.
Never believe that animals suffer less than humans. Pain is the same for us. Even worse, because they cannot help themselves.
